Quick and Easy Thanksgiving Cards

It's time to put the Thanksgiving cards in the mail! I made a few very quick Thanksgiving cards just to send to immediate family. With the help of an amazing Hero Arts plate, these cards came together so easily.

I started by stamping the Leaf Pattern (its one full stamp! not separated pieces!) on a white panel and embossing it with Gold Powder. I then ink blended with Reactive Inks in Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Key Lime Fizz, and Lemon Drop

Then with a separate white cardstock panel I diecut the matching Fall Pattern Cover Plate. The plate lines up perfectly with the embossed leaves.

To finish off the card I stamped the 'happy thanksgiving' sentiment from Holiday Season Messages. Since I stamped the sentiment in black ink, I added 3 black sequins to balance out the bold color.

Betterpress Snowflakes - 6 Cards!

I finally used my BetterPress! Why did I let it sit in the box for so long?! I really thought the BetterPress was much more complicated than it really is. It's so so so easy. I realize now there are so many Spellbinders products used with these. Perfect timing with the Hero Arts acquisition!

Some links used are affiliates - I purchased the majority of the items used today with my own funds. Thank you for shopping through my links to support rwkrafts!

These cards also use my Glimmer Hot Foil machine. I have 3 different color combos to share today (2 of each color). The BetterPress was used with that gorgeous Snowflake from Pinkfresh. These purple cards use Concord and 9th inks Lilac and Fig. I was surprised how well they worked with the Betterpress - just be sure to press very very lightly because those ink pads are juicy!

The cardstocks used for this card are Hero Arts Passion Flower and Plum. I dry embossed the Passion Flower with the Plaid Company embossing folder. Both pieces are die cut with the Postage Stamp Infinity Die.

Time for a blue color combo!

Every sentiment on these cards comes from the same glimmer foil set, Essential Christmas Glimmer Set. The blue and purple foil is from the Satin Pastels Foil collection.

For some of the sentiments, I cut with a circle die, and the others I just fussy cut around the "edges" of the sentiment. The blue snowflakes use Hero Arts Reactive Inks in Splash, Blue Raspberry, and Blue Hawaii.

Alright, the last ones have an extra splash of bling! And pink!

I'm addicted to this pastel pink! The beautiful snowflakes were BetterPressed with C9 inks in Pink Lemonade and Watermelon

I used my Pinkfresh solid foil plate to also foil the negatives of each sentiment. I'm relieved they foiled so cleanly! And that gorgeous background hologram cardstock is from a previous Hero Arts kit.

Snowman Postage Card

Deck the halls with lots of snowmen, fa la la la la....

I finally caved and bought the Waffle Flower Postage Collage! I'm excited to play with this great die and the matching stencils. For my first try, I opted for these sweet Snowmen stencils.

I used Distress Inks to blend through the stencils. The background inks are Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass. The snowman noses are Carved Pumpkin, the stick arms with Black Soot, and the little buttons used Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron.

I highly recommend some little teeny tiny blending brushes for the smaller parts of this stencil. I use these which you can find on Amazon.

The large snowflake was filled in with my favorite - Glitter Paste. The simple sentiment (I've already used it on three other cards!) is from Concord and 9th Holiday Greetings. I mounted the finished panel on some Peony Cardstock from Hero Arts.

Penguin and Polar Bear Lilac Lovelies

Is there anything better than a happy polar bear and a happy penguin?!

Some links are affiliates at no charge to you - thank you for supporting rwkrafts!

I wanted to join in the Spellbinders Lilac Lovelies challenge, and the October Small Die of the Month was the perfect fit for it. I just knew this polar bear needed a purple sweater!

I diecut the October Small Die of the Month (polar bear and penguin) from every purple shaded Hero Arts cardstock I have: Passion FlowerAmethyst, and the lights from Plum. I had to bling out the lights and the penguin hat, so I used my Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter to add the sparkle.

The background uses Lilac Cardstock from C9 that I shaded with Hero Arts Amethyst Ink. The panel was dry embossed with the Plaid Company Embossing Folder from Spellbinders.

Is it weird that the little sentiment is my favorite part? The 'hugs' is die cut from the August Small Die of the Month. But the part that I love is that it's hot foiled. I used a scrap that was foiled with the solid plate and Lavender Satin Foil, and I absolutely love love love how it cut.

Hero Arts November Release Hop

It's an exciting day at Hero Arts! The November release is now live and we have a blog hop to celebrate. Be sure to leave comments along the hop for your chance to win a $50 Hero Arts gift card! You have until November 10th to hop hop hop.

My first card uses the November Layering Stencil of the Month, and each layer uses a different Hero Arts Mixed Media product. The card panel base is Sand Cardstock, which has become my go-to color for holiday cards this year!

This beautiful stencil has 4 layers. I let the card dry in between each layer. I first used Berry Wax, then Olive Wax, then Icelandic Wax, and finally Glitter Paste.

I shared some cards on my blog earlier that used the main November Card Kit - and today I have a fun tag to share.

On one of the included tags, I used the kit stencil with Hero Arts White Paste. Once the paste dried, I loosely painted the tag with Fuchsia and Gold Metallic Spray and the Ocean Blue and Gold Metallic Spray.

Aren't those peeking animals so cute?! I love the variety of animal options - the hedgehog looks perfect with the little tea cup.

I used some new Reactive Glitz Inks in Egyptian Blue and African Violet for the sentiment and snowflakes.

Simple and Quick Holiday Cards

If your brain is in a fog and creating is the last thing on your mind right now... these are the cards for you. I am sharing two very quick and easy Christmas cards to help jump start your holiday card stash for the season.

I think what I love the most about these cards is that they use a couple of new Hero Arts woodblock stamps! These sentiment stamps are HUGE and help to fill out the card.

I worked on these two cards simultaneously. I first cut two pieces of Sand Cardstock and had them both handy. On one piece of cardstock, I laid the Holiday Assortment Stencil on top and sprayed with White Acrylic Spray. I then immediately picked up the stencil, flipped it over, and laid it on top of the second piece of cardstock, lightly pressed it and then quickly lifted up. This leaves me with both a positive and a negative image of the stencil and two card panels finished.

I used the beautiful woodblock sentiment Season's Greetings Calligraphy, which I heat embossed in black glitter embossing powder. I absolutely love how this sentiment becomes the star of the card. To finish it off, I just cut the Sand panel with the Postage Infinity Die and included a couple snowflakes. The snowflakes were cut from black glitter cardstock and the Snowflakes Cover Plate die.

The second card uses the beautiful woodblock stamp called Merry Christmas Calligraphy, which I embossed in Green and Gold embossing powder. This power came from an older Hero Arts kit.

I'm happy to have two lovely holiday cards in my stash, and they took less than thirty minutes. For me - that's a record!

Glitzy Tree Inlay Cards

Have you seen the incredible new holiday releases from Concord and 9th? It's instant love from me!

Some links are affiliates are no charge to you.  Thank you for supporting rwkrafts - it is very much appreciated!

The C9 inlay dies are addictive - once you start you're left with leftover and you can't let them go to waste so you JUST KEEP GOING and it's a vicious but beautiful crafting cycle :) My beautiful Spellbinders Platinum machine for quite the workout with these!

Anyways, These three cards feature the C9 Tree Lot Inlay Die. The base of each card uses Sand Cardstock from Hero Arts. I cut the inlay die from each of the following cardstock colors: Avocado, Aqua Sky, and Midnight. I then glued the pieces to the base...

Tip that I wish I realized first - There are three of each style of tree. So if you plan to make three cards at once like I did, you can add one of each style in each color on each card.

Now, I did NOT inlay each of the little ornament circles. I used Perfect Pearls in Silver to save me a lot of time and fuss.

The sentiments on each card are from the Holly Jolly Greetings Dies. I used an old Hero Arts super glitzy cardstock for the main parts of each sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! Now I'm left with card bases in each of these three beautiful cardstock colors... time to make more inlay tree cards!
