Halloween Buckets - 90's Style

I'm loving all the Halloween creations popping up right now. It is always my favorite holiday to create for! The cards I'm sharing today truly hit my 90's nostalgia spot...

When I saw what my dear friend Wanda was creating with these new Pretty Pink Posh Candy Bucket Dies, the only word that came to mind was NEED!!! There were many years of my life where I would get a Happy Meal every Sunday after church... so you know I collected every single one of these buckets back in the day!

The dies are surprisingly easy to put together, so each of these three cards were done in one quick sitting. Each card starts with a houndstooth pattern paper that I've been hoarding for years... literal years. I can't be the only one that does that...?

Each of the solid cardstocks are from Concord and 9th's Variety Pack, and were inked around the edges with a coordinating Distress Ink. The pumpkin bucket was naturally inked with Carved Pumpkin.

Each card also has a layer of thick Vellum that was dry embossed. To help make the Vellum stand out against the busy pattern paper, I inked the back of the design with the Distress Ink color (here it's Carved Pumpkin).

My Frankenstein bucket was one million percent inspired by Wanda's creation. Each card also has adorable little Stitched Ghosts that are flying out of the buckets. For this bucket, the edges were inked with Twisted Citron.

Aren't those ghosties so cute?! They also come together quickly, and I lightly inked the edge with Tumbled Glass.

For the iconic ghost bucket, I added flying bats instead of ghosts. The bats are from the new Hero Arts Bat Infinity Dies

Don't forget your handy white gel pen to add fun eyeballs to your halloween buckets.

Thanks for stopping by!
