Crazy Bunnies Mini Book + Video

Happy Monday everyone! I'm over at the Topflight Stamps blog and I'm really excited to share this little flip book I created using the cutest stamps from Carabelle called Crazy Bunnies. I have a jam-packed video showing the process which includes coloring, gel press, paint, stencils, and stamps.

Aren't they so confusingly cute?! I started by coloring the bunnies with Faber Castell Aquarelle Watercolor pencils and then fussy cut the images. I used Strathmore Mixed Media paper because it is thinner than watercolor paper but easier to cut and still holds the water from watercoloring. I then created several gel-prints for backgrounds, which you'll see in my video. I used my Gelli Arts gel plate with a speedball brayer. I used those backgrounds to put together a little book.

I kept the cover of the book simple, with an uncolored bunny on top of a gel print. The print uses Hung Up on Hearts stencil and Zesty Zing paint from Paper Artsy.

The first page uses the blue and yellow bunny. I also used the Hung up on Hearts stencil with Cosmic Shimmer paste and Wow! Magic Metallics embossing powder on every page. The background of each page is stamped with AALL & Create Reckoner Digits.

The middle page uses the red and teal bunny on top of a plaid gel print. I love the print because it reminds me of Clueless! The plaid stencil is called Highlander from Heffy Doodle.

This little bunny in his tattered sweater is my favorite of the group. He is placed on top of a gel print that uses Paper Artsy stencil PS310.

Please enjoy the process video that will walk you through how I created the entire mini book. Thank you for watching!

Hoppy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating today. I have a hoppy little bunny card to share for the occasion. I've already shared this card on my instagram, make sure to follow me there as well!

I combined three Lawn Fawn sets to create this card. The sets are Butterfly Kisses, Better Days, and Hoppy Easter. I colored each image with the Copic markers you see below. I fussy cut the images with my Cutter Bees.

I started by masking off a portion of the card with post-it tape. I then created the sky by ink blending Distress Ink Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade.

I added some Distress Rock Candy glitter to the little heart the bunny is holding. Finally, everything is better with splatters so I splatted Dina Wakley Apricot spray to the panel. I framed it off with paper from Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham Rainbow pack.

Have a lovely Sunday!

Mother's Day Watercolor Card

Mother's Day will be here before you know it! I'm over at the Topflight Stamps blog today sharing a floral watercolor card perfect for mom 💗

I started by die cutting Strathmore Watercolor Paper with my Wonky Stitched Rectangles die. I then used Wow! Golden Glow embossing powder, which is my newest obsession, to stamp the floral image from AALL & Create Filaments and Feathers set. The glitter effects in the powder are stunning! I then dusted off my Peerless Watercolors to paint the image. I'm so glad I rekindled my love for those gorgeous watercolor paints! I will be using them much more frequently.

I stamped the sentiment and the hearts using Concord and 9th Petite Posie stamp set and fussy cut with my Cutter Bee detail scissors.

I'm adding a video to try to capture the gorgeous embossing powder glitter. I highly recommend this heat gun for your embossing needs!

Thanks for stopping in and happy watercoloring!

When it Rains...

 ...Look for Rainbows!

I'm so happy it's finally spring! It's such a fun time for card makers to pull out all of the rainbow and floral themed stamp sets. This little get well soon card features two stamps from Lawn Fawn: Here for you Bear (free with purchase at the time) and Beary Rainy Day.

I created the scene starting with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Die and blended Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass on the bottom and Squeezed Lemonade on the top. I put glue on the bottom to add Rock Candy Glitter to help it look like a sunny day with glistening rainy puddles on the ground.

I colored all of the images with these Copic colors and cut them out easily with my Brother Scan n Cut. I layered the scene on top of some cute Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham paper.

I created this card for the current Lawnfawnatics inspiration board challenge.

Spring has Sprung!

It is finally spring! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the cute little bugs are coming out to play! I'm also sharing this card over at the Topflight Stamps blog.

The day I created this card I actually had a ladybug fly in through my office window. It was meant to be! I used the adorable Bugs 1 set by Craft Emotions and colored the images with Copic markers. There are so many sweet insect-themed stamp sets by Craft Emotions, it was hard for me to pick just one!

I die cut the sentiment Spring has Sprung from Lawn Fawn's Henry's ABCS and I just love the little worm crawling through the letters. I also popped the ladybug on foam adhesive to make him stand out more. The background dies are Waffle Flower A2 Lacy Layers dies that I cut from the new Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham paper pad.

Thanks for joining me and I hope you're enjoying some warm sunshine where you live!
