Dearly Departed Halloween tag + Video

As they say in the Haunted Mansion:

In sickness and in… wealth. You may now kiss the bride. We’ll live happily ever after. Till death do us part. Here comes the bride. As long as we both shall live. For better or for… worse. I do. I did.

I really enjoyed creating this Halloween tag with some brand new Tim Holtz products mixed in with some old goodies in my stash and even fun seasonal bits from the dollar store.

Doesn't the couple just look hauntingly beautiful for their wedding day?

Dreadfully Wicked Halloween Box

Welcome back, everyone! I'm back just in time to share a new Halloween creation. Halloween is always my favorite holiday for making dimensional projects. Available supplies that I've used are linked at the end of the post.

I started this project with a little wooden chest from Joann's by the company Park Lane. I first coated the box with some chunky layers of Resin Sand by Liquitex. This gives the box that old grimy graveyard feel. Once dried, I spritzed all over with the new Distress Mica Spray in "Empty Tomb" and "Crooked Broomstick". Now it's time to add all the bits!

I just bought this darling new Stamper's Anonymous Pumpkinhead stamp set, so I knew I wanted to incorporate them somehow! I heat embossed the pumpkins on Strathmore Mixed Media paper using black embossing powder (the powder I used isn't sold anymore! any black embossing powder will do). I then sprayed them with Distress Mica Spray in "Jack O Lantern" and "Flickering Candle" and fussy cut the images with my Cutter Bee scissors. I also sprayed a decorative flower with the same Mica Sprays.

Next I colored a lot of bits in this green alcohol ink. I colored the Salvaged Doll, skull medallion, plastic clear beads, an Industrial Sticker, and the 'dreadfully wicked' baseboard all using the same color.

I used orange alcohol ink to color the Corked Vial and the poison baseboard piece. The mini tree was sprayed with Distress Black Soot stain and I sprinkled orange glitter on top. Now it was time to get out the hot glue gun and start assembling!
