Happy New Year! I've decided to kick off the new year with a very quick art journal page using my favorite (bright) color combinations. The entire page took 25 minutes, which includes in-between drying time.
I found a blank canvas page in my Dina Wakley Media Journal, gesso'd it, and got painty!
I started with Dina Wakley Media acrylic paints in the colors Blushing, Turquoise, Lemon, and Lapis. I applied the paints dry (without water on my brush) so I got the messy brushstroke look and also overlapped some of the colors without them mixing too much.
Once the acrylic paint was dried, I added small marks with my Liquitex Paint Markers in Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, and Fluorescent Blue. I also added small streaks of gold with my Kuretake Starry Colors watercolor palette.
