Boooooooo....

Let's jump right in today... more adorable Howl-o-ween cards coming right up!

This Lawn Fawn Happy Howloween set is just too cute, I had to make more cards. Just like yesterday's cards, I colored my images with Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and used papers from Recollections. I kept these cards pretty simple because I had some colored-in pups left over that I wanted to use.

The frame border is from My Favorite Things Stitched Frame Dies. Made the inside panel incredibly simple by just adding some grass die cuts.

This card might just be my favorite of them all, and it's easily the simplest. The Super Dog is so cute and owns the spotlight!

Howl-O-Weenies!

Enough of the creepy stuff, it's time for some CUTE Halloween cards! These darling puppies are trying so hard to be scary in their costumes :)

I finally had a chance to ink up the adorable Lawn Fawn Happy Howloween stamp set. I was so out of the groove of card marking, but it was fun to get back in it! I used Halloween pattern paper from Recollections (Michael's brand) and Lawn Fawn circle and grass dies to make the scene.

All of the stamped images are colored with ArtGRIP Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils... and of course I fussy cut them out of watercolor paper :)

This card is a little simpler, with just some cut tombstones to put the scene together. The papers here are from DCWV Spooky Time stack. The pup in the pumpkin is so adorable!

Sugar Skulls

Growing up in Arizona, Day of the Dead was almost a bigger cause for celebration than Halloween. Sugar Skulls were such a huge part of the season and it's hard not to fall in love with the colorful details! So I decided it was time to decorate my own...

I started with a simple paper mache skull base that I found at Michael's. I painted the entire skull with Gesso before I added a generous layer of Orange Soda Gelatos to cover everything.

Next I used my White Stampers' Big Brush Pen and Gesso to paint/draw designs throughout the skull. I also used some Mixed Media Stencils to trace flower and flourish shapes.

Once the white pen or gesso dried I could color in that space with some bright colored Gelatos.

I also did some coloring with ArtGRIP Aquarelle watercolor pencils.

Once my skull was all colored, I did some embellishing with Gold and Pearl Texture Gems.

Thanks for stopping by! There will be more Halloween inspiration as the week goes on!
