There are a LOT of new releases today! I have been begging Lisa Arana to make me a flamingo stamp for months, and she finally delivered! I love him...
I had some fun with the background for this one. I mixed translucent texture paste with some Distress Inks and spread it over the "Aboriginal" stencil by The Crafter's Workshop. It took overnight to dry, but the stained glass look is completely worth the wait!
The more flamingos the merrier! I masked off the little guys to have them standing in a little conga line :) I colored them with Copic markers, inked the edges with Distress Ink Tattered Rose, and embossed the edges with a sparkly rose powder.
Enough flamingos, there's also a gorgeous new sentiment kit releasing today for the new Unity Be Inspired Challenge!
I made a card using the color inspiration and the new kit called "Smile, It's Your Day".
More masking and more Copic coloring! I stamped the sentiment on a little tag and hung it from the top corner so it wouldn't cover up too much of the coloring (which took time, ain't gonna lie). I ran over the edges with a gray Copic marker to help the panel pop from the base of the card. I finished it off with some Wink of Stella glitter over the flower petals.
Yes... more masking! This one is an easy shape to cut and mask, so it's not so bad. I used my colored pencils in various lavender and purple shades then blended with Gamsol. The gold and silver splatters are from flicking my Wink of Stella glitter pens.
Alright you made it to the bottom! Time for prizes!
We have TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway. Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win. The winners will be announced Monday night on the Unity blog.
Now move on to your next stop, Stephanie :)
