Easter Inspiration Hop - A Whimsical Painting

Welcome to the Easter Inspiration Blog Hop by The Inspiration Crew!  This hop is just for fun. We're posting projects we made using products we like, and hope you'll find some holiday inspiration along the way! The links to all bloggers will be at the end of the post, and we hope you leave comments to share some love. Happy Easter Crafting!

I'm really excited to be sharing my little Easter bunny painting with everyone. I've been taking some workshops from Christy Tomlinson, so I'm sure you'll see a resemblance in the style. So here he is...

Aren't they cuties?! I love that little chickadee, he is just ready to celebrate. The painting is on canvas that has been collaged and mod podged (can we put these words in the official crafter's dictionary?) with paper from Basic Grey "Soleil", it's a perfect collage paper.

The bunny and chickadee were painted with acrylic paints (mainly cheapy craft paints like Folk Art and Americana). Shading and blending was created with Faber Castell PITT pens (my loves).

Some background texture was added with DCWV "Vintage Collector" washi tapes, Unity Stamps background stamps, and old rub ons.

Don't be afraid to make yourself (or a friend) a piece of art! It can look as silly as mine, but you'll still be proud of it in the end. Happy Crafting! Make sure to stop by all the crafty ladies below! They will blow you away with their talent :)
