Today is a layout kind of day... so many holiday cards are flying off my desk that I just needed a card break. So here is a scrapbook page from a fun burger quest!
This place in Connecticut claims to be the home of the first ever hamburger. My hubs and I have lived here for 4 years, seen this place showcased on several different Food Network shows, yet we still never visited. We finally got the courage to just go and try the best and first burger ever and... well... it was pretty forgettable. The burger was forgettable, but it was a fun experience anyways!
Original burger, so they say.
Served to you on Wonder Bread with a 'cheese spread' and onions... because that's the only way you could order it 100 years ago.
Also the original building, which is definitely the highlight of the burger experience.
I thought this wood veneer was perfect: "it is what it is"... pretty much how we felt about this burger that had been so hyped up. We just felt "meh" about the whole thing. But we can finally cross Louis Lunch off our New Haven bucket list!
I'm also playing along with some Two Peas scrapbook challenges "wood embellishments", "fearless layers", and "enjoy autumn" (to use 5 different pattern papers).
Paper is from DCWV "Modern Meadow" and We R "Chalkboard". Wood veneers from Studio Calico and alpha stickers from Glitz.
