Sunset on the Sound - November Sketch

It's hard to believe another November is already here! With a new month comes a new scrapbook sketch challenge over at DCWV! Visit the DCWV blog to enter, giving you a chance to win amazing paper stacks!

This sketch made for a quick but dramatic layout. Basic rectangles and borders are all you need for this one... and of course your favorite DCWV stack! This month I broke into the "Emerald Garden" stack, which had some beautiful blue shades of paper to match my photo.

I distressed each panel with some Distress Ink "Peacock Feathers" and also did a pretty heavy distress on the journal tag. I stuck with teals, black, and gold for this page.

My friend and I went out for drinks and afterwards we watched the sun set over the Long Island Sound. A very pretty evening! I added the gold wood stars to add to the 'evening' feel of the photo.

I stamped a Unity Stamp "Tattered Chicken Wire" around the background in gold ink, splattered some Heidi Swapp Color Shine mist, added Freckled Fawn gold washi tape, and finished off the gold with little adhesive pearls.
