CAS Chipboard

Did yall know it's March? Meaning it's March Madness? So I hope all of you are rooting for the Arizona Wildcats and remember to BEAR DOWN!!

So while twiddling my thumbs between NCAA basketball games, I've been getting a lot of cards finished. I'm also trying to get back into the swing of bloggy things.

CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week is to use chipboard on a clean and simple card. I've only had my Big Shot for a couple months (how did I go so long without it?) so this was my first opportunity to cut up some cereal boxes in the name of Chipboard.

I started creating a St. Patrick's Day card but then realized that it wouldn't ever be sent in the mail in time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. So it ended up being a green 'just because' card...

I don't feel like I'm using my Big Shot correctly... I didn't want the frame embossed at all but it still did? So now it's like half embossed and weird? Please give me tips!

materials: wheat thins box, spellbinders labels 14, simon says stamp 'flower friend', hero arts neon green ink, memento olive grove ink, dylusions spray ink 'cut grass' and 'fresh lime', green pearls

Who are you rooting for in March Madness?

  1. I love that no cereal boxes were harmed in the making of this project, but were simply repurposed to lengthen their lifespan! LOL! Very cool card, and I love the green splatters :) Thanks for playing along with us this week at CAS-ual Fridays!

  2. Cool idea to use a cereal box! I love the "weird" embossing - there are no mistakes only happy accidents, and this is one! Great idea, thanks for the inspiration. :)
