I found an old Recollections stamp in my collection called "freedom flowers" and they were just screaming to be stamped up and color pencil-ed
Can ya tell this is a 10:37pm photoshoot? I even skipped The Bachelorette for this
The colors for this card are inspired by this week's Play Date Cafe color story: azul, raspberry, blackberry. I layered two of the bigger flowers with double stamped vellum to add dimension. I am also entering this card into the CAS-ual Friday vellum challenge.
Each flower was stamped with StazOn ink (works great on vellum, no smearing) and colored with Prismacolors and blended with mineral oil. The vellum took to the Prismacolors and mineral oil really well (yay!) so I was able to layer that easily. Added some blue and pink Stickles, bling, and a sentiment I cut from a magazine.
I just curled the petals of the vellum flowers using my fingernails to get them to flair out a bit. I loved coloring this one, and the colors were really fun to work with :)
