Another fun day of rejected cards from Paper Crafts magazine! I have to admit, this one hurt the most to my ego. I really thought I nailed it. This was a sketch submission, and unfortunately I can't find the original drawing.

Oh man do I like this card. It's definitely in my top 5 for myself. I inked the flower stamp with a mix of red, pink, and orange inks which gave it a pretty blended effect. The paper fit perfectly with the stamps and it was just one yummy juicy spring popsicle kind of card!
Stamps: Hero Arts "Small Solid Flower" and Paper Smooches "My Peeps"
Ink: Martha Stewart inks in red, pink, and orange
Paper: DCWV 'Citrus Stack' and solid red cardstock
I don't know where this card ended up... it got sent to somebody for some reason! I hope it's in good hands

)-: Hmmm the thing is you never know what they are looking for - I LOVE your card - it is so beautiful - the stamping and coloring are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm never successful with the cards I love the most myself - or the ones that I've put the most time into making ... that's just the way it is as Ior would have said!
BIG HUGS, Karin
This is such a great card, the colours really pop and I think its lovely. As Karin said you never know what they're looking for, but sorry you didn't get it back.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Rachel!! Those colors are FAB and your stamping is perfect. I definitely agree with Karin. It's NEVER the ones you like the most that get picked - so funny that way. Plus, they only choose 2 or 3 for the sketches so it's a tough category. I never ask for my cards back - I have enough in my house!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love this one. I would be happy to get it in the mail!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this one too girl!! I have my top favs of my own too - and just when I think I "nailed it" too for challenges on some - I find out differently! I just put them up, and admire them for myself :)
